This Stillwater Run's deep
by Ogi Overman

Career-minded though they are, these ..... musicians should not be confused with friends who get together on weekends for purely social purposes. It ..... didn't take but a rehearsal or two for them to realize they had a viable product that deserved to be heard by a wider audience than the Mt. Airy Friday Night Fish Fry. Stillwater Run is quite serious about their craft and dedicated to taking it as far as it will go.

.... young, photogenic, polished and exhibit a relaxed stage demeanor. And both bring a fresh approach to bluegrass, a reverence for the traditional coupled with a willingness to experiment, to bend the genre without breaking it.

Past that, Stillwater Run is a self-sufficient entity that need not rely on anything more than its own talent and synergy. Keep your eye on them.

From ESP MAGAZINE  June 27 - July 3, 2001   Volume13, Issue 46

" The harmonies are exquisite, the originals, especially..."This Ain't Love" and "Louisville Slugger", will be hits, either for...Stillwater Run...or somebody else."

Stillwater Run : Pushing Bluegrass To New Limits
by Brian Sine

Along with the traditional bluegrass songs they play, Stillwater Run also performs a number of original songs. "This Ain't Love"   is one of the better songs I've heard this year, and "Louisville Slugger" tells a great story fleshed out in a momentary incident.
